University of New Hampshire Announces May 2016 Graduates
The following students graduated from the University of New Hampshire during the Commencement Ceremony held Saturday, May 21, 2016 in Durham, N.H. Students who received the honor of Summa Cum Laude graduated with a GPA of 3.85-4.0; students who received the honor of Magna Cum Laude graduated with a GPA of 3.65-3.84; and students who received the honor of Cum Laude graduated with a GPA of 3.50-3.64.

Softball's Biney and Murphy-Cook Repeat as NFCA All-New England First Team Honorees
Senior Clare Doolin (Newton, MA), junior Lindsay Gurska (Revere, MA), sophomore Nina Murphy-Cook (Roseville, CA) and sophomore Ama Biney (Worcester, MA) have been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III All-New England First Team, as announced Monday. Freshman Caraline Wood (Averill Park, NY) made the list as a third teamer. All five were previously honored by the NEWMAC with All-Conference nods.

Gurska and Goldstein Garner NEWMAC Softball Major Awards; Five Named All-NEWMAC
Junior Lindsay Gurska (Revere, MA) and head coach Whitney Goldstein became the first from WPI to be named the NEWMAC Softball Athlete of the Year and NEWMAC Softball Coach of the Year, as voted upon by the league's head coaches. Gurska was joined on the first team by sophomore Nina Murphy-Cook (Roseville, CA) and senior batterymate Clare Doolin (Newton, MA). Sophomore Ama Biney (Worcester, MA) and freshman Caraline Wood (Averill Park, NY) were named to the second team.

WPI Draws Salve Regina in NCAA Division III Softball Championship Regional Opener at Tufts
NEWMAC Champion WPI will head to Tufts for the regional portion of the 2016 NCAA Division III Softball Championship and will face CCC Champion Salve Regina 3:30pm Friday.

Lambda Epsilon Sigma is Stonehill College's Honor Society. The purpose of the Society is to recognize and promote scholarship. Gurska, who also took home the honor last year (April 13) and was named the WPI Women's Student-Athlete of the Week earlier in the day, batted an eye-popping .615 (8-for-13) with five runs scored as the Engineers won three of four last week.

Gurska batted an eye-popping .615 (8-for-13) with five runs scored as the Engineers won three of four last week. The junior catcher had a hit in all four contests and also was on the receiving end of Kelsey Saucier's no-hitter against Fitchburg State on Wednesday.

WPI Softball's Historic Season Concludes in NCAA Division III Championship Super Regionals
The WPI Softball team (34-11) set the program and school record for team wins in a single season en route to its first-ever NCAA Division III Championship tournament berth. The Engineers made the most of it by sweeping through the Williamstown Regional and sporting a 3-2 record on the national stage.

WPI (34-9) captured the NCAA Division III Softball Championship Williamstown Regional last weekend and will now face two-time defending national champion and undefeated Tufts in a Super Regional. The action in the best-of-three series begins Thursday in Medford.

For the first time in program history, the WPI softball team has been selected to participate in the NCAA Division III Championships. The Engineers, who finished runner-up in this past week's NEWMAC Tournament, earned one of the coveted 18 Pool C (at-large) bids available nationwide.
